How we use AI in our products & Services
Love School UK AI Policy
Love School prides itself on being human-made, run by humans & operating with a focus on embracing & developing our human potential.
This reflects in everything we do, produce and reference here. Nature intelligence, attuning to our true nature, connecting with and being part of nature, embracing all natural life has to offer and evolving through those experiences is at the heart of what we do. It is how we support people to learn to heal, recover and thrive.
Therefore, it wouldn't make sense to focus our work around AI or use AI to support people... so we don't!
Integrity, being true to our values and being authentic, is part of our ethos and values system here, so this page lets you know how we use AI and where or when you might come across it in our products or services.
.
To be upfront, I (Terri, the host and creator of the space) have explored and experimented with AI.
I was initially very against it, opened my mind to at least explore it to understand it and soon realised it is not fully aligned with my way of being, work or the space here.
Yes, AI is convenient, but then so are many of the reasons this space exists. But it would also be silly to totally ignore AI, the way this technology is advancing and being used and how it can help us to reach the right people and make the most of this space as we develop.
So, we have tried to find a balance and will regularly review how AI is used and limit and regulate our use of it, especially for communication and content creation.
Due to the previous explorations, there may be a few pieces of content that have been created using AI to refine, correct, or write them. This will probably be on a couple of pages, blogs or some of the course lessons. However, these are few, and they have all been edited and will or have been reviewed over time (as all of the site and our content are reviewed periodically).
There are pages on our website dedicated to and designed for AI to aid searches and support relevant recommendations and signposting to our site and content. (llms-txt, Methodology, AI-FAQs, AI Information, and any page with "ai" in the domain address).
I do use AI in the form of Grammarly regularly and often to correct my spelling as I type.
Spelling is not a strength of mine, so I use this tool to support my work and allow me to write in a way that can be understood by you. Otherwise, I miss typing errors and spelling mistakes because my mind reads words differently, and I just don't see them.
We do use automation AI, which in the modern digital space can not be avoided.
We are hosted on Podia, and therefore, they likely use AI to operate their systems. We can't control this. We use scheduling at times, which is a form of automation, likely run by AI, so you get the benefit of the automated experience we would otherwise not be able to provide.
We do not use AI to create or publish content on our social media at the moment, which is why, at times, it can be unpredictable and isn't always constantly being updated or produced. It takes time for us to produce and schedule the content.
We avoid and do not use generative AI.
All illustration images are designed and made by me, or by other professionals hired by us. The images or videos we use are photographs and are not AI-generated.
We would rather hire people to do jobs that humans can do and support other professionals or businesses, and be part of the human economy. This is important to us and will not change, even as we expand. If we expand at a rate and capacity that it is not possible to avoid using more AI in our operations, we will address this and consult with our customers and members.
We have and do at times use AI to aid strategising, to analyse data (about the space or offer alternative perspectives we might miss), and we use AI to create pages and documents for AI and produce long-form, text-heavy documents we need and later edit ourselves.
At times, especially in the early days here, I have worked alone. It is a lot of work to set up a space like this, and I have limited skills and capacity at times. As much as I can do, I am human and have gaps in my knowledge, natural biases and can miss things due to gaps in my knowledge. II have or do use AI to analyse strategies or help me to assess the space, or our approaches, to make sure it is aligned with the vision we have here.
I also use AI to create things for AI or any large documents that would otherwise take me hours or even days to complete myself. It makes sense to save time repeating things that have already been conceptualised or explained.
We do not use AI to support you in our chats, email responses or Community spaces.
When you chat to us here, you are speaking to a human person, often that's me, or at time sit can be a trusted member of the admin team. Please bear that in mind! We are not agents, bots or anything else and require the same level of respect as you would offer anyone when chatting face to face.
Our content that is shared in the community spaces is also created by us and not AI-generated. When you comment, send an email or chat with us, it is us you are chatting with, which is why the responses are not always immediate or generic. We consider our responses and tailor them to you. To save time, if it is appropriate and relevant, we may copy and paste responses or communications.
