KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, BUT WISODM IS EMPOWERMENT! WHEN WE CHOOSE FOR OURSELVES WHAT WE CONSUME, LEARN AND PUT INTO ACTION WE DEVELOP DISCERNMENT TO CONSCIOUSLY CREATE OUR EXPERIENCE. In this blog, I unpack and explore how in the age of information and enlightenment, learning to discern how to use knowledge, choosing where to focus and cultivating our reality is the art of bringing together energy and mind to manifest our aligned reality for wellness.

Consider how much you're willing to suffer to appear right. How long you're willing to live in fear of being wrong before you try anything new? If being wrong or doing wrong helps you grow, learn or find peace, does it matter and is it wrong? If being right makes you stressed, ill or lifeless, do you want the acclaim?

We get to choose our morality, beliefs, values and knowledge and as long as we respect everyone else has the same freedom too and we are not forcing our ideas of right or wrong upon others, then we are not hurting or harming anyone by being different and following our individual path, will or agenda.

Life is for learning and exploring and we choose the path and the lessons. Remembering being right isn't the goal of life. If we were right all our life, what would we learn? Being right with an intense hold or fear of being wrong will lose us love and connection. A connection to ourselves, each other and to God.  

Intimacy between people grows from a place of vulnerability and when we are vulnerable we are risking being wrong, presenting with an openness to exploring possibilities. Therefore, being vulnerable can't exist in a space where we need to be right.

Same as if trying to be liked, good or acceptable leaves you feeling burned out, rejected or not enough, perhaps it is more sensible not to try and be those things. Being our authentic selves is easier, stress-free and more enjoyable to live with. Even when it gets us rejected, disliked or disapproved of.

The toll of masking who we are, people pleasing and perfectionism is massive for our energy systems. It's why we get fatigued, depressed, burned out. When we realise being ourselves creates a path to peace we forge a way to everything we have been seeking:

  • The confidence to live as we want.

  • The energy and vitality to heal and grow as a person.

  • The humbleness of being human.

It's all there on the other side of our pretence, our ambition to always be the smartest, always right or the most assured in the room are traits of our ego and would ultimately have us alone and unwell rather than empowered, brave and honest.

We can do all the intellectualising we want but it's not going to lead to healing. Science, data, the psychological language and understanding of the world are not going to heal an energetic wound in our hearts.

It might solve a problem of lack of understanding or comprehension of an issue, but it will not heal. A wound is energetic so it needs the energy it is lacking to heal. The energy that is relevant to body and soul. For example, our physical body needs nutrition and rest to heal, followed by movement to replenish and rebuild. We can read all we want about good body health but until we put it into practice our body will not benefit. The mind wants knowledge but all the knowledge in the universe will not heal our body.

Other types of wounds, trauma wounds are spiritual and emotional (or energetic) in their nature. Therefore the healing needs to come from spiritual sources of energy exchanges. The spirit needs to be nurtured through expression, acknowledgement rest, recuperation and most importantly love and attention. All the books in the world will not give us the experience of love and intimacy. 

This is how therapists or doctors get stuck in the intellectualism of the educated world and become wounded themselves. They can be spiritually drained, cut off or traumatised and can't access the healing they need because their mind is so fixed in its knowledge.

Once we see that almost all education models stem from a form of school indoctrination to instil a specific, preferred mindset and that all indoctrination is a form of manipulation, often biased propaganda to a certain agenda, we can begin to free our minds to truly educate ourselves.

Our schooling is often limited and mostly dictated by a very specific type of person, with very specific agendas for our lives. The qualifications, the studies, and the endless data don't matter if it is based on a flawed, limited perspective. Or when it simply doesn't align with your reality, values, preferred outcome or spiritual needs.

None of the data or statistics available to study are about you or your world. They're often constructed in unsustainable, artificial environments, with a small minority of people, who already have a specific belief and value system (or they wouldn't be there). It's always about other people's ideas and inferences.

Of course, we can, will and possibly should or have to learn from others, but it's disempowering to gain all our knowledge from outside of ourselves. We can learn to observe, construct our own data and define our analysis which leads us to understand our individual world better.

It doesn't matter if someone else thinks we are right or wrong when considering our health or well-being. It doesn't matter if we can pass a test or recall complex words or detailed studies. All that matters is, does what we know works for us when put into practice and whether is it relevant to our circumstances and leads to wellness.

We might not even have to understand the process or why it works! Or it might be the process of understanding that leads to the shift and change, it's the exploration and action that is important. We only need to know if implementing the change equals helpful or unhelpful outcomes and how long those outcomes last.

Over time we can establish our own bank of data and helpful tools that show us what works for us, when and for what purposes. We are capable of being the educators and scientists of our own world. When we do this we are taking back power, harnessing our energy and using our own intuition and body to guide us. We simply choose to learn instead of study.

The idea we always need specific or specialist therapy to heal is not true. We've been conditioned to believe that we need professional help because it serves capitalism and the education industry. It removes our power and disconnects us from our solution as we wait and feel alone. And, we humans love to overcomplicate things! The idea all we need to heal is our conscious attention to act toward the solution is too simple for people to bear when they've been struggling and suffering for such a long time.

We might indeed need different types of therapeutic practices, different influences of relationships, connections with others and new environments. We may have to retrace our steps to understand our path and see where we have made mistakes, or gain clarity over our thoughts and emotional processes. It also could be we need to understand why we were traumatised by the events of our lives and what it means for us to move on from it. Most likely we will need to build skills and potentially gain a new perspective, cultivate strength or give ourselves the option of choice. We also probably need to rest and give ourselves time to reflect and express ourselves clearly.

Ultimately all these things are doing is allowing us alternative experiences that direct us close to our natural alignment, which is wellness.

Wellness means we are fulfilled in all ways. Mentally, emotionally, and physically, in our relationship environment and connection to life. It might take change, growth, learning, adaptations, choices, sometimes choices that feel difficult to make. We will need to face our truth and act accordingly, choosing to think in ways that serve us well. We are required to feel our feelings and respond to the messages they are giving us as we choose to be honest, strong and integral.

That is what the therapy is for: it provides some stability and reassurance as we fuel our ability to do this. It’s nothing special, and it's all individual-specific.

One professional or scientifically proven therapy might work for one but not for the other. A chat down the pub with your mate can be just as healing as an argument with your lover or a counselling session with a therapist if it reveals the truth, brings clarity or realigns us to our wellness. There's no science to it, just common sense.

Often, when healing spiritual or energetic wounds or when we are seeking better physical health, there is no complex problem to solve. Just honesty, holding our power and realignment to wellness day after day. Choosing to focus on the knowledge we learn can help us at times. 

But knowing that the wisdom we seek comes from trying, discerning and then keeping ourselves focused on wellness, healing and helpful solutions. 

If that means turning our attention away from condemning diagnosis, short-term symptom management and addressing the root causes of our pain and disease. Then that is the power of or alignment in action. Choosing to master our attention and being the power that creates our reality towards our desired results.
