The Art of Enough - 7 Day Retreat

An easy but intensely beneficial week to slow down, relax and make some time to explore your relationship with enough.

Spend 7 days in a UK rural location, working through the process as a deep dive and introduction. With personalised support and guidance throughout.

You're signing up to receive emails from Love School.

Imagine having a whole week to yourself. Free from responsibilities, no noise, questions to answer, no chores, appointments to make... no one to answer to or asking for, even demanding your attention!

How did that make you feel?

Did it feel exciting, sound blissful, or was it a little scary, worrying or intimidating?

If we feel ourselves respond with heightened emotion to the idea of doing less, being alone and having space, it often indicates we could benefit from doing exactly that.

Without even realising it, our lives can become so full of everything outside of ourselves that we can feel lost in our day-to-day world.

Stuck in a routine or habits of chasing goals, excitement or achievements that ultimately feel empty.

Expectations, feeling trapped in our body and choices that feel heavy to carry.

Except it's unlikely you've admitted this to anyone, maybe even not even fully to yourself.

Because you are so used to being the one who wins, chases the dream, holds everything together, has everything... win, win, win!

It would break apart every idea of who you think you are to admit that all this winning has started to feel like you're losing the game of life!

And, you don't even know why.

You love the people in your life, your family and friends, you like your colleagues, and you are good at your work.

You have a good lifestyle, all the things you need, life "should" be easy... it is easy, that's why you keep winning.

But lately it just hasn't felt real.

Like something that used to be alive in you isn't there any more.

The goals have become habits, the meetings routines, and the conversations all rehearsed.

Your life is varied, people look at you with envy, but living it feels mundane, monotonous, and something just isn't right anymore.

And that's why you're here... to follow that curiosity that was sparked and maybe figure out what is missing.

The Art of Enough Retreat with Mama Bear Mentorship

The Art of Enough Retreat offers you the opportunity to experience a week away from day-to-day life.

Not a holiday solely focused on relation and doing what you want or connecting with others... something entirely different.

A week to relax, slow down and get away for the purpose of deep reflection, with the intention of introspection and the opportunity to consider your life.

To be with someone dedicated to supporting you through this process and helping you identify the burdens of performance, people-pleasing, busyness, or spending compulsion that has taken over your life.

During your stay, you will benefit from one-to-one attention and mentorship designed to support you through this opportunity to disconnect from the world for a while and nurture yourself through intention, consideration and presence.

This private retreat opportunity offers you the space to pause and begin a new chapter of your life.

Once, without feeling overburdened, with insight into your habits and behaviours, and one where your choices align with your soul's desire to be at peace with yourself.

The Art of Enough Retreat with Mama Bear Mentorship

Your retreat will take place in the UK and be catered to your needs and preferences.

  • The location is chosen specifically for you.

  • We collaborate to find dates where you can be completely present.

  • You have online sessions before and after your retreat experiences to confirm all the details and to help integrate the insights into your life.

The entire process is designed and curated to benefit you and make the most of this opportunity to heal and reflect.

The Art of Enough Retreat Mama Bear Mentorship

The Art of Enough retreat takes you out of your current reality to give you space, insight, and a new perspective.

You return with a new view of your life.

One that allows you to consider new options, opens your mind, body and heart to new ideas or opportunities.

A gateway to step into an experience without the tension, stress, and expectation that have been fuelling your life and instead offers you the power of a pause.

Each time you stop, consider and choose from this new awareness, your life redirects towards that alternative feeling you've been curious about and searching for.

Satisfaction, fulfilment & eventually... feeling enough.

What You Need to Know

Answering your questions about Work Addition Recovery & the Art of Enough Process

The Art of Enough is our most nurturing container, while being the most challenging when considering the nature of the wound and the rewards our society offers you to keep feeding it.

It is important our clients are aware of the commitment and investments required and are ready and devoted to transformation.

Please read the FAQ for more information and to consider your investment before you commit to this process.

Your application will be considered and discussed with you before being accepted, and the sessions will begin.

Who Is This For?

The Art of Enough is for people who are struggling with the following lifestyle symptoms:

  • Work Addiction – Overworking, not being able to take breaks, rest or enjoy time off.

  • Overachieving – Never feeling satisfied when meeting life goals, always seeking the next “buzz” goal or achievement without enjoying the previous one.

  • Spending Addiction – Always needing more, better or never feeling like what you have now is enough. Hoarding over-buying items you don't need that do not serve a purpose, are grandiose, or that are unused, not enjoyed and are wasting money. Seeking love, social status or security through buying and struggling to feel appreciated or respected regardless of this.

The Art of Enough addresses a core wound of inadequacy.

If you are struggling with this problem, it might look like this:

  • You might still care highly about what your parents, family, or other people think of you more than yourself.

  • You may feel detached and distant from others and avoid addressing underlying or challenging dynamics through shame or guilt and instead avoid intimate or honest conversations.

  • You give in to situations you don't want to and avoid emotions through your work or performance.

  • You're starting to see the toll of your choices and are feeling regret at how much time you have spent working or pursuing material gains, and now life is starting to feel empty, and you feel a bit lost and unsatisfied with the things you have or have achieved.

The programme is for people ready for change who want to commit and are prepared to consider their currently lifetyle and steer it in a new direction.

The process will challenge your current ideas and require participation and an investment of time and funds.

What Is The Investment?

The Art of Enough programmes require an investment of your time. The process will not be beneficial for you if you are trying to navigate a full, busy life and are unwilling to take time off, slow down and change habits.

  • Retreats are scheduled for a week.

  • There will also be online sessions before and after that need to be attended.

  • You will be encouraged to make space in your schedule to engage with the process after the retreat to enjoy the benefits of the insights found there.

Work addiction and the recovery from it can be daunting, but with the right guidance and commitment to yourself, you can find relief. The Art of Enough programmes require an investment in yourself.

The first step is to cut things out, make the space and commit to the healing process as we work through what comes up. To actually benefit from the awareness we uncover and get any results from the experience long-term, you would:

  • Have to make changes, cut things out, consider and adjust commitments, miss appointments (if necessary) and say no to things that do not require your time and attention.

  • Reflect deeply and engage in new habits, thought patterns and emotional responses.

  • Have to try different things, sometimes uncomfortable or alternative ways of managing emotions, behaviours, and adjusting your default patterns.

  • This process is a deep reflection and introspection of the self. Honesty is required, and an openness to step into embodying your higher self. You will be required to make space for that and do the suggested practices to adjust your energy for such a transformation to occur.

The current financial investment with The Art of Enough retreat is £6,000, and payment is always required in advance. We offer payment plans if required.

What Type Of Support Do You Offer For Work & Spending Addiction Recovery?

We offer three types of support through our Art of Enough process.

  • A 7-day retreat. A week-long getaway with the opportunity to deeply reflect and refocus your energy, embodying a new perspective. Great as a marker to begin life transition anew and take some space after a new awareness or perspective arises.

  • A six-month mentorship container. With monthly sessions and regular calls. A deep dive into healing the core wounds and adjusting lifestyle through the recovery process over a period of time. A slow transition that allows space for natural transformation to occur over time and with dedicated awareness.

  • A six-week intensive. Weekly one-to-one sessions with an intentional focus on redirecting lifestyle, thoughts, and observing behaviour patterns. An opportunity for reparenting and addressing core wounds to kick-start a new life phase.

What's Provided/Included as Part of the Retreat?

Your retreat includes a week's accommodation, food and basic supplies.

You will be expected to do some basic housekeeping, but most of the upkeep of the premises and catering will be covered for you.

Unless you feel you would benefit from a more active, hands-on approach to the retreat concerning cooking and cleaning, which we will discuss during your onboard session.

You also have access to one-to-one support through personal mentorship daily for up to four hours per day.

This time might be split into sessions, activities or practical guidance.

What Does The Process Involve?

Each of our containers, whether on the retreat, in the intensive or through the six-month mentorship, focuses on our process of considering life and your lens of perspective, beliefs, ideas, motivations and identity through the lens of “enough”.

Each container is adapted for that time frame and is personalised to your needs and circumstances.

Through the process we have created, we will work on:

  • Unpacking core wounds.

We look at your life experiences and at what is behind your current motivations and mindset.

  • Allowing space to consider.

We make observations of your life and reflect upon your being enough, exploring what you do have enough of and what you have had enough of.

  • Reparenting and nurturing the conditions of rest.

We spend time understanding the reparenting process and working with your habits, patterns, and how you have adjusted your mind to support this lifestyle choice. We may consider your inner child responses to heal the core wounds determining your current lifestyle.

  • Slowing down enough to enjoy what you love (and do what is required).

You are supported as you allow yourself time to stop, slow down and practice adapting your life to your new awareness.

  • Taking time to express what you need.

We explore any additional skills or healing required to give you the confidence to express your needs, enabling you to feel free. Exploring and filling your time creatively or more honestly.

  • Being free enough not to respond to manipulation or coercion (external pressure, guilt or threats).

You are supported in identifying where you need to create strong boundaries to protect and preserve your self-esteem and self-worth.

Through the process, we work together to balance your ambition, good nature and need for connection with taking up space and occupying your time in a new, more considered way.

Am I Alone on Retreat?

The retreat is offered as a private retreat.

In most cases, you will be asked to abstain from using your phone, contacting people, making any purchases or doing any research (being online) through the process.

You have the option to have me live in and share the space with you for the week (with agreed boundaries).

I can also bring my dog along if you would enjoy a canine presence at some points of the retreat.

In some cases, if possible, we can join retreats with other people. You can invite someone along (who also wants to participate in the retreat process).

We can also open the retreat option to other people in our network.

Shared retreats reduce costs and also share some of the mentorship time.

Where & When Does the Retreat Take Place?

Retreats usually take place in the UK, although some European destinations may be considered.

The private venue we hire will reflect your preferences (which we establish at application).

Retreats are usually booked with three months of an application process, and we need at least two weeks to plan the retreat.

We can't always accommodate preferred time scales or ideal locations but we do our best to meet your needs and requests.

How Do I Book?

The Art or Enough is an application-based retreat & mentorship programme.

All of these offers have limited availability and are only available to those we feel we can help most.

You can apply by completing this form or joining the mailing list.

When selecting a coach, healer, therapist or mentor ony one thing matters...
Does this connection feel right?!
Even if the idea of change is a bit scary, you know the connection is right if you feel a deep intuition about it.

It's always a good idea to confirm that others have had positive experinces... can I deliver what I say I can!
These testimonials are from previous clients I have worked with either for one to one sessions or through Mama Bear Mentorship Programmes.

My relationships have massively improved. My approach to life in general is a lot more positive and hopeful.

I feel like I'm going in the right direction. Having someone with lived experiencehelped me feel seen and validated."

Laura

"It felt good to open up, to just say all the things I've been afraid to say to other people because of all the relative entanglements of those relationships.

Thank you for your presence, time & reflections. I could stay more easily on topic & named what feels like all of it!

I've cried for that release, so thank you."

M. B.

"Terri is the best mentor to support you through this challenging work, no-one wants you to feel the freedom more than she does and she is with you every step of the way.

This programme has given me permission to trust myself and use my intuition, this is freedom for me and I'm confident, fearless and resourceful when challenges do come."

Saira

Authenticity and truth are at the core of Mama Bear. Terri has insight to see beyond the edges of structures, patterns and systems and has designed a programme that brings pure potential."

M. C.

"I felt comfortable from the very start till the end of the session. I didn’t feel judged for even the silliest things I mentioned. Terri was understanding of my feelings, helping me learn boundaries and seeing patterns.

When i didn’t know where to start with everything Terri made it easier asking questions. I felt at ease, to be honest and not hold back"
